Hewlett-Packard had us delta-test their 7960 Photosmart printer with our iBook running OS X. We have updated these instructions specifically for 8.5 x 11 photos, since that is not a standard setting in iPhoto. Naturally, you can replace 8.5 x 11 in our instructions to print any other photo size you wish, although for common sizes like 4x6, you will likely find the photo size from an iPhoto menu. To print a borderless 8.5 x 11 photo from iPhoto:

When you are going to print out a PDF document, the margins may be cumbersome as they can affect the page layout of your PDF, and it may result in waste of the printing paper. That is why many people are looking for a solution to print PDFs without margins. However, some printers don't support printing out a borderless PDF directly. What could you do on this occasion? A helpful PDF editor is needed. Here, this post guides on how to print PDF without margins on Windows and Mac.
To print borderless PDF, two steps are indispensable. Firstly, edit the PDF pages and adjust the margins of the PDF until you totally remove the white margins. Secondly, use the best free PDF printer to print the edited PDF as a borderless one.
Besides, Adobe provides you with many options to adjust the printer setup, and you can find some choices under "Print Production". There is an option for you to "Remove White Margins" which you need to print a borderless PDF.
Step 2. When the print window appears, select "xxx (borderless)" from "Paper Size". And select "Borderless Printing" from the pop-up menu on the "Print Dialog". It removes margins from PDF.
I hope at least one of these alternative options will help you achieve borderless printing on your Mac. Please note that these options may still not work as some people have mixed reviews on trying this with certain sizes. I recommend testing any one of these methods on a test print first.
I'm using a Brother MFC-J6910DW inkjet. On my PC it's easy enough to print full bleed, there's a borderless option in the printer dialog. I can't find any such option on the Mac. Am I not able to print to the edges in Adobe InDesign or Acrobat?
UPDATE: Apparently in Adobe InDesign you print by selecting the paper type with "(borderless)" next to the paper type you want (every supported paper type has 2 versions, 1 with and 1 without (borderless)). Acrobat doesn't print full bleed, but Mac OS X's built-in preview tool has the same paper type option as Adobe InDesign.
The full bleed (or "borderless" as printer manufacturers tend to call it) feature is a function of the printer driver. If the driver doesn't support it, then InDesign can't do it. You might check with Apple if there's an updated driver.
This is actually really easy to do once you know how. Since you're creating a PDF, it might not even involve your printer (if you're not printing). It's like this, at least for Word 2011 for Mac:File> Page Setup> Paper Size > US Letter Borderless or A4 Borderless. Notice that the both US Letter and A4 choices have a little triangle to the right--when you position your cursor over US Letter or A4, you can choose the regular or borderless.Click OK and then save your document. It should be okay now. If for some strange reason it's not, then in your print dialog, select Paper Handling from the drop-down menu and if it doesn't show the borderless choice, select it here as above. But recheck the page setup thing and be sure you save before printing or saving as a PDF.HTH!
When printing in Lightroom it can sometimes be frustrating to locate and correctly set the various options for printing. Borderless printing can be especially sneaky. So here are 7 steps to getting borderless prints out of Lightroom.
I would like to add to this topic as well. A couple of days ago I got two extra monitors and set up a triple display. I cannot get the borderless display to work. I can play on all three monitors with the view windowed, but it has annoying bars on top and bottom. Does anyone have a guide for setting this up correctly?
Try relocating your menu bar to the display you want to use [Windowed (borderless)] on with the WoT Mac Wrapper as the game picks the native resolution [in my case - 5120x2880] of the monitor on which the menu bar is located as the screen size for [Windowed (borderless)].

I'm trying to print borderless image from PhotoShop on 17" width roll of paper from Epson 7800, but I can't seem to get the correct setting. I set for borderless printing (Roll feeding: borderless with single cut) under paper feed. And I set the image for 17"x11" (with no border) but it doesn't print as borderless. What else do I need to do for borderless printing? The image size on the file is 17"x 11".
Recently I have needed to print 6"x4" borderless but cannot get the Affinity print dialogue to work with my Canon printer: having reduced my document size to 6"x4", set the print dialogue to the correct orientation and scale 100%, I click Printer Properties to bring up the Canon print dialogue.
The latter is set to borderless on 6x4 photo paper, preview box checked. I click OK to return to Affinity print dialogue, click OK again and the Canon print preview is invoked - but shows paper size changed to A4 with the image placed in the corner! I have tried this with the document at original size with Affinity print dialogue set to 'fit to printable': same result.
I have tried every combination I can think of between the Affinity and Canon dialogues to achieve this borderless print but the Canon preview always shows the paper size changed to A4. I check the paper settings on the printer - all OK. If I go ahead and print anyway, I get just a portion of the image on a 6x4 paper. If I leave everything as is but uncheck the borderless setting in the Canon properties then the image prints correctly but of course with borders.
Now I feel this must be an Affinity issue because my old Photoshop CS2 software will produce a borderless print of the same file (Canon printer settings same as used with Affinity) with no fuss at all.
Since posting, I have found another question on the same subject (really sorry for having started a new topic!) where the chap having trouble mentions that after a restart of AP he found a setting under 'Paper Size' specifying 'Defined by Driver'. So I restarted Photo, loaded my image and sure enough there was 'Defined by Driver' in the Print 'Paper Size' box, right at the top above 'Custom'. Now I'm pretty sure that option wasn't on the menu before; but I chose it and yes, the borderless print worked correctly. Do you think it only appears after setting 'Fit to Printable'? If that's the case I could have missed it - whatever, definitely one to watch out for. 2ff7e9595c
